now total area for white washing = \left (16.2-2 \right )m^{2}

                                                       = 14.2m^{2}

as it is given the rate of white washing the wall is Rs 20 per m^{2}

therefore total cost of white washing = 14.2m^{2}\times 20

                                                              = Rs 284
