Answer:

white washing area = wall's area - door's area=

= 20×8m²-3×2m²

= 160m²-6m²

= 154m²

1m² white washing cost = ₹8

154m² white washing cost = ₹8×154= 1232

The given

a door length =3m

and its breath = 2m

fitted in a wall

wall length =20m

its breath = 8m

Area of wall = l× b

20× 8

160m^2

wall Area = 160m^2

Now area of door = l×b

3×2

6m^2

door area = 6m^2

remain area of wall for white washing

= area of wall - area of door

= 160 - 6

= 154m^2

rate of white washing

1m^2 rate = 8 rupees

so

154 m^2 rate = 8× 154

= 1232 rupees answer
