answer : 4.5cm

explanation : focal length of convex lens, f = 6 cm

refractive index of lens , μ = 1.5

use formula,

\frac{1}{f}=(\mu-1)\left(\frac{1}{R_1}-\frac{1}{R_2}\right)

a/c to question, the radius of curvature of the surface is doubled of the other surface.

so, R_1=R, R_2=-2R

so, 1/f = (μ - 1) [ 1/R + 1/2R ]

or, 1/f = 3(μ - 1)/2R

or, R = 3(μ - 1)f/2

putting f = 6 and μ = 1.5

⇒ R = {3 × (1.5 - 1) × 6}/2 = 9 × 0.5 = 4.5cm

hence, radius of the curvature is 4.5cm
