baking soda or sodium bicarbonate is a basic salt i.e. it acts as a base and is a  product of an acid and a base. it's basic in nature becoz it's  formed by the reaction of carbonic acid (h2CO3) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) which are weak acid and a strong base

Hasti152002: thx
