Answer:

Ans b:-The function of salivary gland is to secrete saliva. The salivary gland secretion is very rich in salivary amylase, a starch splitting enzyme. About 99.5% of saliva is water. It contains two important enzymes, amylase and lysozyme. Amylase is a starch digesting enzyme which breaks starch into maltose and triose

Ans C:- It is essentially for the action of enzymes because if enzymes do not get environment they are suitable with they either degrade or stop working which will affect the process completed as for the action of pepsin the pH of stomach is to be acidic for action and for pancreatic juice and succus entericus it is mandatory to be alkaline.
