A driver applies the brakes and slows down the velocity of the bus from 90km/hr to 30km/hr in 5s.

Calculate the acceleration of the bus.​

Given,

Initial Velocity = 30km/h

= (30×5/18)m/s

= 8.3m/s

Final Velocity = 90km/h

= (90×5/18)m/s

= 25m/s

Time taken for the car to stop = 5s

a = (v - u) / t

= (8.3 - 25) m/s / 5s

= 16.7m/s^2
