The acceleration of the car is \bold{a=-3\ m / s^{2}}.

The acceleration of the car is calculated using the derived formula of acceleration.

According to the question, initial velocity and final velocity is given.

Initial velocity u = 25 m/s

Final velocity v = 10 m/s

Also, time t = 5 seconds.

Therefore, we have formula of acceleration as a=\frac{(v-u)}{t}

Acceleration a=\frac{(10-25)}{5}

\begin{array}{l}{\mathrm{a}=\left(\frac{-15}{5}\right) \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}^{2}} \\ {\boldsymbol{a}=-3\ \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}^{2}}\end{array}
