A driver leaves a city at 6 a.m. and another driver leaves the city from the same place at
driver was 62 km h, find the time at which they will be together.
11:30 a.m. in the same direction. If the average speed of the first driver was 55 km/h and the second driver was 62 km/h .find the time at which they will be together.

Answer:

let the second driver catches the first driver after t hours

then distance travelled = 62×t

then the first driver has taken t+ 11/2 hours

distance travelled by him = 55×(t+11/2)

62t = 55(t + 11/2)

62t -55t = 55×11/2

7t = 55×11/2

t = 55×11/(2×7) = 43.21 hours
