A driver takes 0.2 seconds to apply brakes after he sees a need for it. if he is driving the car at a speed of 54 km/h and the brakes cause a deceleration of 6m per second square. find the distance travelled after his reaction time

54 km/h = 24 m/s
t= .2 s
u = 24 m/s
a = -6 ms^-2
s = ut+ 1/2at^2
= 24*.2+1/2*-6*.2*.2
=.48+(-.12)
=0.36 m (Answer)
