A driver takes 0.20 s to apply brakes soon after he sees a need for it. If he is driving a car at a speed of 54 km h 1 and the brakes cause a deceleration of 6.0 m s-2 , then the distance travelled by the car, after he sees the need to apply the brakes is ___

Initial velocity =54km/h =5/18*54=15m/s
time taken to apply brakes=0. 20s
final velocity=0
deacceleration=-6m s-2

distance travelled=2as=v square -u square
s=v square -u square/2a
0-15square/2*-6
-225/-12=18. 75m

there fore distance travelled by the car after applying the brakes =18. 75m

I hope it is the answer and plzz follow me. Good luck have a nice day!!
