dear,here is your answer

1) average speed =Total distance traveled/total time taken

now, time= 5h25min=5h+25/60h=5h+0.146h=5.146hours (here I converted 25min to hours)
average speed=300/5.146=58.29 km/h

2}To convert km/h to m/s you need to multiply 5/18 m/s

58.29 of 5/18=58.29*5/18 (her * indicates multiplication).

=16.19 m/s

distance = 300km \\ time = 5h \: 25min = 5h +  \frac{25}{60} h = 5 +  \frac{5}{12}  =  \frac{65}{12} h \\ speed \:  =  \frac{distance}{time}  =  \frac{300}{ \frac{65}{12} }  =  \frac{300 \times 12}{65}  = 55.3846kmph \\  = 55.385kmph \\ speed \: in \: mps = 55.385 \times  \frac{1000}{3600}  \\ 55.385 \times  \frac{5}{18}  = 15.3847mps \\  = 15.385mps
