A drum contained 60 litres of milk. out of this, 15.75 litres of milk was taken out in one bucket and 8.5 litres in another bucket. How much milk is left in the drum​

Total milk in drum =60litres

In one bucket 15.75litres milk is taken out and in another 8.5litres is taken out

∴ Total milk taken out =15.75+8.5

=24.25litres

∴ Milk left in drum = total milk − milk taken out

∴ Milk left in drum =60−24.25

=35.75litres

Hence 35.75litres milk is left in the drum.

then substract total litres of milk by 24.25

that is 60-24.25
