a drum had a certain amount of water. 30 litre of water was used from it if the remaining water is in the drum is 2 by 5 of the amount of the water how many litres of water is still left.

Let the total water be x If 2/5 is left then 3/5 is used up. Also given that 30 lit. Has been used. So, 3l/5=30 l=50lit.
