Solution :-

It is given that, drum is (2/3)rd full.

So,

Drum is Empty = 1 - (2/3) = (1/3)rd .

And, Now, we have given that, 120 liters are required to fill it up completely.

That, Means we can say that, Value of Empty part is 120 litre.

Therefore,

(1/3) ------------- 120 Litre .

→ 1 (Total) ------------- 120 * 3 = 360 Litre. (Ans.)

Hence, Capacity of Drum is 360 Litres.

Ratio Method :-

→ Full drum : Empty drum = 2 : 1

So,

1 unit ---------------- 120 Litre .

→ (2 + 1) units ---------------- 120 * 3 = 360 Litre. (Ans.)

{ \bf{ \huge{ \underline{ \underline{ \red{Solution:-}}}}}}

{ \bold{ \purple{GIVEN- }}}

▪ portion of drum filled = two third

▪ empty portion of the drum

{ \bold{ = 1 - \frac{2}{3} }}

{ \bold{ = \frac{1}{3}}}

☆ it's given in the question that 120 litres are required to fill the empty part of the drum..

that is,

{ \bold{ \pink{ \frac{1}{3} \: part }\: requires {\ { \: 120 \: litres}}}}

therefore,

{ \bold{ \pink{whole \: drum} \: will \: require}} \\ { \bold{ \blue{ = 3 \times 120litres}}} \\ { \bold{ \blue{ = 360 \: litres}}}

Thus,

The capacity of drum( in litres ) is 360 litres..
