let the total capacity be x
ATQ
(3x/4)-30=(7x/12)
(3x-120)/4=(7x/12)
(3x-120)12=28x
36x-1440=28x
36x-28x=1440
8x=1440
x=180
total capacity=180 litres

Heya !!!

Let, the capacity of the drum be x.

⇒ 3x/4 - 30 = 7x/12
⇒ 3x/4 - 7x/12 = 30
⇒ 9x/12 - 7x/12 = 30
⇒ 2x/12 = 30
⇒ 2x = 30 x 12
⇒ x = 360/2
⇒ x = 180

So, the total capacity of the drum is 180 litres.
