a drum of kerosene oil is 3/4 full. when 15liters of oil is drawn from it ,it is 7/12 full. find the total capacity of the drum

Let the total capacity be x

It is 3/4 full. So, it has 3x/4  of oil

15 liters is taken down

3x/4 - 15 = 7x /12 

x / 6 = 15

x = 90 liters

Total capacity is 90 liters

2 unit value is 15 then 12 unit values will be 90 and 90 is correct answer
