a dry powder of copper sulphate does not conduct electricity if it is mixed in water it becomes conducting.why​

Since for the flow of charges to occur, it is important for the flow of ionic particles to be present. Since dry Copper Sulfate powder does not possess any ions, they do not conduct electricity.

However if it is mixed in water, flow of ionic particles occur and hence it conducts electricity
