Answer:

answer is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

Well, since A is earning 33.3% more, we can take it in one of two ways.

Either you meant recurring or raw 33.3%.

If it was recurring, we take it to be 4/3 more. So we flip the fraction when flipping the subject.

So 3/4 = 75%. 100–75=25%.

Therefore, B= 25% less than A.

Or if it was raw 33.3%, we do the same, just with the fraction 1333/1000.

Flip the fraction and work it out. Then turn it into a percentage.

(1000/1333)=~75.01875468867217%

100-75.01875468867217=24.98124531132783%. So, rounded to 2sf, it would be 25%. I’ll round to 4, making it 24.98%.

There are your two answers, either 25% less or 24.98% less.

SOLUTION

GIVEN

A earn 40%more than B

C earn 70% more than B

TO DETERMINE

The percentage the salary earned by C more than that earned by A

EVALUATION

Let B earns = 100S

Since A earn 40% more than B .

So A earns = 140S

Since C earn 70% more than B

So C earns = 170S

Difference between earning of A and C

= 170S - 140S

= 30S

Hence the required percentage

\displaystyle \sf{ =  \frac{30S}{140S}  \times 100\% }

\displaystyle \sf{ =  \frac{3}{14}  \times 100\% }

\displaystyle \sf{ =  \frac{150}{7}  \% }
