A electric bulb produces 240 J of heat every minute by the application of 2V. Find the current and resistance of the bulb.

H=240J

t=60sec

V=2V

H=VIt

I=H/Vt

I=240/60×2=2A

V=IR

R=V/I

R=2/2 =1 ohm

p. d. =2v

v= w/q

therefore q=w/v

=240/2=120 coloumbs

Now,

I =q/t

= 120/60=2Amphere

Resistance, R= v/i

= 2/2=1 ohm
