a) electric current drawn by it.

b) energy consumed by it in 50 hours.

c) what is the cost of energy consumed , if each unit cost 6.00 rupees .

◾An electric geyser is rated 1500 W , 250 V is connected to a 250 V line mains .

↪Power = 1500W = 1.5 KWh

↪Potential Difference = 250 V


A.) Electric Current drawn by it :

Use the formula for Power :

Power = Voltage × Current

P = VI

From here ,

I = P / V

I = 1500 / 250

I = 6 A



B). Energy Consumed in 50 hours

Use the formula for energy ,

Energy = Power × Time

Energy = 1500 × 50

E => 75000 watts

=> 750KWh



C). What is the cost of energy consumed , if each unit costs rupees 6.00 rupees

=> cost = 750× 6

=> 4500 Rs.
