Explanation:

1 electric mass unit =1000 watt

No. of hours bulb works in 15 days = 15 × 6= 90

No.of watts consumed in 90 days = 160 × 90=14400 = 14.4 electric mass unit .

Amount to be paid for 14.4 units = 14.4 ×2.5 =36 rupees

Answer:

Energy consumed (1 day)=power in watt X time in hour / 1000

∴ Energy consumed = 160 X 6/1000=0.96 Kwh

 Energy consumed for 15 days = 0.96 X 15=14.4 Kwh

1 Kwh=1 unit

∴ cost=14.4 X 2.50= Rs.36
