An equilateral triangle is a triangle with all three sides of equal length.

Let consider each side of the equilateral triangle = A

Each side of the equilateral Δ = 3 ×1/2= \frac{7}{2} inches    (given)

Perimeter of the equilateral triangle :-

P = 3A

P = 3 × \frac{7}{2} inches      ( A =  \frac{7}{2} )

P = \frac{21}{2} inches

P = 10. 1/2 inches = 10.5 inches.

Hence the perimeter of  the equilateral triangle is 10.5 inches.

Ans :- The perimeter of  the equilateral triangle is 10.5 inches.

Answer:

The perimeter of the given equilateral triangle with sides 3\frac{1}{2} inches is 10\frac{1}{2} inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Side =  3\frac{1}{2} inch

To find:

The perimeter of the triangle (P)

Formula:

perimeter = side1 + side2 + side3

Step 1:

The given triangle is equilateral. The sides of an equilateral triangle are equal.

side1=side2=side3

Therefore,

perimeter = 3 * side1

Step 2:

Substituting the given value, we get

P =  3 * 3\frac{1}{2}

P=3*3.5

P=10.5inches

Therefore, the perimeter of the triangle is 10.5 inches.
