Important of environment in day to day life cycle.

Imagine what the world will look like without environment or does it even exist ? No ! It can't. We all depend on environment either animals or plants. From living to non - living.

Environment : It is the natural surrounding consisting of both living and non - living beings. It's actually a nature gift.

What role environment play in our lives ?

Can we think of a world that doesn't consist of animals, plants or human beings. What will it look like ? No ! We can't exist without it. Water , food , shelter , life gas, basic needs all these things we get from our environment.

$\bullet \: \:$ Forests : Forests, indeed give us life and continue renewing it. They check the soil erosion and floods also. They cause rains and where there are rains, there is life. They, are also a source of raw materials for many industries. In this way, they ensure a happy future for all of us as they keep environment clean and pollution free.

$\bullet \: \:$ Shelter : One of the basic need for animals is shelter. Therefore, this need is fulfilled by the environment by providing them forests to stay.

$\bullet \: \:$ Life gas : Can we live without oxygen ? Can we ? Yopen't ! One of the utmost need for living being survival is oxygen or for plants it's carbon dioxide , which environment granted.

$\bullet \: \:$ Water : As we all know, water plays a crucial role in our lives. For plants to prepare their food by the process of photosynthesis to the human being and animals. We get it from our natural environment i.e, from rivers , ponds , glaciers, etc.

$\bullet \: \:$ Existence of non - living things : Can non - living can exist without environment or it need anything from environment i.e, does it related to our eco system or it depends on existence of environment because neither it eats, drinks , inhale - exhale.

We all mourn and groan about the loss of the quality of life through the destruction of our ecology, and yet each of us , in our comfortable little ways contributes daily to that destruction. It is time now to awaken in each of us the respect and attention our beloved motherland or environment deserves.

Eg : Resources like Petroleum exhaustible resources, their reckless exploitation will lead to their deficiency.

b) Resources are vital for development. Industries , agriculture field , etc all depends on resources.

Economic development depends on resources availability.

c) Millions of people earn their livelihood and sustain on resources. Resources like minerals , coals , are pre - requisite for development. Water , food etc are necessary for survival. To protect future generations.

Aims or goals of sustainable development:

In June 1992, 100 heads of states met in Rio - De - Janeiro in Brazil, for the first International Earth Summit. It is also known as Agenda 21.

It aims to combat environmental damage, poverty, disease through global cooperation on common interests, mutual needs and shared responsibilities.
