Electromagnetic induction is a principle on which an electric generator works generally.

Explanation:

(a) The current flowing through the generator is induced in the coil when the magnet is rotated in and out in the coil or the coil is rotated between the magnets. Also, we can find the direction of the current by using Fleming’s left-hand rule.   

(b) The two ways in which the current induced in the coil of a generator can be increased by:  

(i) Rotating the coil in the generator as fast as possible.

(ii) Using a coil that has a large area.
