answer: Let the actual salary of the employee be x,

then bonus is 0.1x ( since bonus is 10 % of his salary)

So total income of the employee after bonus =x+0.1x=1.1x

which is given 10,780

⇒1.1x=10,780

⇒x=

1.1

10,780

=9800

Hence actual salary of the employee is 9,800
