6 - sided die ,

S = { 1 ,2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 } there are 6 possibilities in our set , each number has a probability of 1/6

• S odd = { 1 , 3 , 5 } , • S even = { 2 , 4 , 6 }

Each has a set of three possibilities

Probability = # event / # total set

Probability odd = 3/6 = 1/2 = 0.50 or 50%

Probability even = 3/6 = 1/2 = 0.50 or 50%
