v=u+at

Where

v=final velocity

u=initial velocity

a=accerlation due to gravity

t= time required to reach final velocity

As per given data

t= 1 sec, g=10m/s2

A ball falls off a table implies that u=0 m/s (initially at rest)

therefore v= o+ 10*1 = 10 m/s

Final velocity= velocity of ball on reaching ground = v = 10 m/s

Height of the table = distance covered by ball in 1 sec = s

Law of motion says s = ut+ 1/2 at^2

s= 0+1/2 *10*1*1=10/2=5 m

Height of table = s = 5 m
