Given :- A family includes grandmother, grandfather, their son, grandson and granddaughter. Grandfather is 52 years older than granddaughter, grandmother is 16 years younger to grandfather, their son is 30 years younger to his father. The grandson is elder to granddaughter by 2 years.

To Find :- Find the present age of a) Grand father b) Grand mother c) Their son. d) Grandson.

Solution :-

Let granddaughter present age is x years .

so, in terms of x present age of all will be :-

→ Grandson present age = (x + 2) years .

→ Grandfather present age = (x + 52) years

→ Grandmother present age = (x + 52) - 16 = (x + 36) years .

→ Their son present age = (x + 52) - 30 = (x + 22) years .
