Given,

A family requires 20,000 kJ of fuel energy every day.

Calorific value of fuel used by them is 15000 kJ/kg

To find,

The amount of fuel required for the month of April.

Solution,

We can simply solve this numerical problem by using the following process.

Now,

Number of days in April = 30

Energy need of April = 20000 × 30 = 600000 kJ

As, the calorific value is = 15000 kJ/kg

So,

15000 kJ of energy = 1 kg fuel

1 kJ of energy = 1/15000 kg fuel

600000 kJ of fuel = (1×600000)/15000 = 40 kg fuel

Hence, 40 kg fuel will be required.
