for getting equal no. of rows and columns, we should have 30 rows and 30 columns, but
30 x 30 = 900 plants and
31 x 31 = 961 plants.. but we have only 950 plants,
so,
961 - 950 = 11 extra plants.
so the number of plants he needs in extra to equalize the number of rows and columns, will be,
11 + 50 = 61 more plants (here 50 came by subtracting 961 from 900)
