a farmer connects a pipe of internal diameter 20 cm from a canal into a cylindrical tank in her field which is10 m in diameter and 2 m deep. If the water flows through the pipe at the rate of 3 km/hr, in how much time will the tank be filled?​

given diameter = 20cm

therefore the radius = 10cm = .1m

according to the question we can take the area of pipe = volume of cylinder.

pi* .1*.1 * 3000 = pi * 5*5*2

pi gets cancelled :

30 * t = 50

t = 5/3 = 5/3 * 60 = 100 ( converting to minute)

therefore the pipe takes 100 min. to fill up the tank.
