1)Given ,
portion of property given by farmer to the
eldest son = 1/2
2nd son = 1/4
3rd son = 1/8
youngest son = 1 - (1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 ) = 1- 7/8 = 1/8

2) A/Q  32 acres is his property

So eldest son gets =  1/2 x 32 = 16 acres land
     2nd son gets = 1/4 x 32 = 8 acres land
     3rd son gets = 1/8 x 32 = 4 acres land
  youngest son = 1/8 x 32 = 4 acres land

Hope this helps.
