These are some of the problems the farmer will face:

1. When grain is not properly dried, it contains moisture. The moisture will create a conducive environment in the storage for growth of microorganisms. Therefore the moisture will support build up of molds, fungi, insects and mites and this will render the crop useless.

2. When the crops are not well dried, the presence of moisture will encourage the germination of seeds with the help of favorable temperatures. This will therefore cause a lot of losses for the farmer.

3. Failing to dry the crops will lead to the presence of moisture which will causes the rotting of seeds

4. Moisture will also decrease the quality of grain and also reduce the duration of grain storage.
