CROSS POLLINATION IN PLANTS

Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains from one plant to another of the same species through differents agents.

Difference in height in plants usually depends on the genetic characteristics of the plant, for instance when a short species cross pollinates with a tall species, the breed produced will be in a medium size and it would have acquired new characteristics different from ones before.

Cross pollination increase the quality of products throuhg the acquisition improved characteristics from both two different plants. This fosters production of improved products. Heights of the plants increases because the tall traits out weighs the shorter training causing slight upward growth.
