 \huge \rm \underline{Answer :-}

Part of field in which potatoes are grown = \frac{2}{3}

Part of field in which tomatoes are grown = \frac{1}{4}

⇒ Total part of field covered by potatoes and tomatoes = \frac{2}{3} + \frac{1}{4} =

\small\rm{Find \:  the  \: least \:  common \:  denominator  \: or } \:  \green{LCM }\: \rm  {of \:  the \:  two  \: denominators} \\\\\rm \green{LCM}  \: of  \: \red{ 3 } \: and \: \red{  4 } \: is \:   \green{12} \\\\\rm \small For \:  the  \: 1st  \: fraction, \:  since  \\\rm \: 3  \: ×  \: 4 \:  = 12, \:  \\\rm \: 23  \: = \:   2 \:  × \:  43 \:  × \:  4  \: = \:  812 \\  \\\rm  \small \: Likewise,  \: for  \: the \:  2nd \:  fraction, \:  since \\  4  \: ×  \: 3 \:  = \:  12, \:  \\\rm 14 \:  = \:  1 \:  ×  \: 34 \:  × \:  3  \: =  \: 312 \\\\\rm  \small Add \:  the \:  two  \: fractions :-  \\\rm \small 812 \:  + \:  312 \:  = \:  8  \: + \:  312 \:  =  \: 1112 \\\\\rm  \small So, \frac{2}{3} + \frac{1}{4}=\frac{11}{12}

∴ Remaining part of field in which chillies are grown =1 \: −  \: \frac{11}{12 } \:   =  \frac{1}{12}

So, Chillies are grown in \frac{1}{12}part of field.
