heya!
yr ans is here...
length = 230m
breadth=170m
perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
= 2(230+170)
= 2(400)
= 800
farmer want to fence it 3 times.
So,
=800x3
=2400m
Therefore,he need 2400 meters of barbed wire

hope it helps u.

The length of barbed wire required is 2400 m.

  • Length of the wire is 230 m and breadth of the wire is  170 m.
  • We have to find the length of wire required to fence the wire three times.
  • Perimeter of the rectangle is 2(length× breadth).

Perimeter of field = 2 (230+170) = 2 (400) = 800 m.

  • Perimeter of the rectangle is 800 m.
  • Length of wire required to fence once = 800 m
  • Now it is to be fenced 3 times.
  • Total wire required to fence the field = 3 × perimeter = 3×800 = 2400 m
  • Total wire required is 2400 m.
