Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN:-

THE LENGTH OF RECTANGULAR FIELD = 240m

THE BREADTH OF RECTANGULAR FIELD = 180m

TO FIND:-

THE TOTAL LENGTH OF ROPE THAT HE USED.

SOLUTION:-

PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE = 2(L + B)

= 2( 240 + 180)

= 2× 420

= 840m

LENGTH OF ROPE REQUIRED = 3 × PERIMETER OF FIELD

= 3 × 840m

= 2520m

Therefore 2520m is the total length

of the rope used.

( In this question ), The farmer has it's own rectangular field with length 240 and breadth 180m. He wants to fence its field with 3 rounds and we have to find the length of the rope used here.

The farmer has to cover three times the perimeter of that field. Therefore, the total length of rope required is thrice its perimeter.

 \large \rm { Perimeter\:of\:the\:field\:=\:2×(L+B)}

 \large \rm { =\:2×(240m\:+180m) }

 \large \rm { =\:2×420m\:=840m }

Total length of rope required = 3 × 840m = 2520m
