A farmer has a rectangular field of width 45 m. He divides it into two sections. He plants one rectangular section of area 1800 m2 with rice and the other rectangular section of area 900 m2 with vegetables, find the total length of the field.

Breadth of rectangular plot= 45m

Length of rectangular plot= (Total Area÷ 45)m

Area of first plot= 1800m^{2}

Area of second plot= 900m^{2}

Total area=(1800+900)m^{2}

                =2700m^{2}

Length of rectangular plot= (Total Area÷ 45)m

                                           = (2700m^{2}÷ 45)m

                                           = 60m  

The length of the rectangular plot is 60m.
