Given :-
- A farmer has a square field of side 240m
- He wants to fence it with 3 rounds of rope.
To Find :-
- The total length of rope he must use
Solution :-
❏ As we know that, Fencing is done on the boundary. So, we will find the Perimeter of Square Field which is given by 4 × side.
⟾ Rope Used in 1 round = Perimeter of Field
- Perimeter of Field = 4 × side
- Perimeter of Field = 4 × 240
- Perimeter of Field = 960m
Now,
⟾ Rope Used in 1 round = 960m
- Rope used in 3 round = 960 × 3
- Rope used in 3 round = 2880m
Thus , 2880m of rope will be used to fence the Field 3 times.
