Answer:

perimeter of square- 4×side

so,= 4×240 = 960m

to fence the field 3rounds of rope

=960×3 =2880m

=so he need 2880m length of rope

Given :-

  • A farmer has a square field of side 240m
  • He wants to fence it with 3 rounds of rope.

 \\

To Find :-

  • The total length of rope he must use

 \\

Solution :-

❏ As we know that, Fencing is done on the boundary. So, we will find the Perimeter of Square Field which is given by 4 × side.

⟾ Rope Used in 1 round = Perimeter of Field

  • Perimeter of Field = 4 × side
  • Perimeter of Field = 4 × 240
  • Perimeter of Field = 960m

Now,

⟾ Rope Used in 1 round = 960m

  • Rope used in 3 round = 960 × 3
  • Rope used in 3 round = 2880m

Thus , 2880m of rope will be used to fence the Field 3 times.
