Vol. of the pit= l*b*h

=6*3*2.5

=18*2.5= 45cubic metre

Earth taken out from the pit= vol. of the pit=45cubic metre

Area of the pit = l*b

=6*3

=18 metre square

Area of the field= l*b

=20*14

=280metre square

Remaining Area= Area of field - Area of

pit

=280 - 18 =262 metre square

since earth taken out = 45 cubic metre

Level raised= Remaining area+ earth

taken out

= 262+45

= 307m
