A farmer can feed 50 cattle in 10 weeks

He can feed 1 cattle for 50 × 10 weeks [ he will feed that one cattle for a longer period of time ]

Now he sells ten cattle.

Cattle left = 50 - 10 = 40

Hence food will last for : ( 50 × 10 ) / 40

                                     = 50/4

                                     = 12.5 weeks

The food will last for more time , that is 12.5 weeks
