If the number of animals increases food will last lesser number of days.

Thus two quantities vary inversely

Animals to feed =>60 ----> 70

Number of days food last =>6----> x

x=7

Hence the grains would last 7 days if the number of cattle is increased to 70.

Thank you for asking the question.

Hope its answered.

Regards.

Thus the food will last for 4 days

We will analyze the question as follows.

60 cattle for 10 days

now :

We have 10 more cattle :

60 + 10 = 70 cattle.

How many days will it take the 70 cattle.

60 : 10 days

70 : ?

60/70 × 10 = 8 4/7 days
