A farmer has just visited a local market and has bought a wolf, a goat, and a cabbage. However, the shortest way home involves a river crossing, and the farmer has a very small boat, which can only carry the farmer and one of the purchases.
Only the farmer can row the boat.
If the farmer leaves the wolf alone with the goat you can imagine what might happen.
Similarly, the goat would love to be left alone with the cabbage!

The farmer can cross the river in the following way ;
1. First the farmer will move the goat to other side of river as the wolf can't eat cabbage.
2. Later the farmer will come back and will take cabbage to other side is the river.
3. Now as the goat and cabbage can't be put alone on either side, hence the farmer will move the goat to other side.
4. Now the farmer will move the fox to the side where cabbage is kept.
5. At last the farmer will bring the goat to other side.

First the farmer take the goat to cross the river with him as wolf does not eat the cabbage.
Then on next time he take the cabbage with him and go other side where goat is stayed, but if he left cabbage here so goat eat it, so he left cabbage and again take goat with him to take wolf.
Now, when he go on the other side he left goat here and take wolf with him, as wolf does not eat the cabbage.
And at last he take goat from the other side and then cross the river.
