Given : a farmer has right angled triangular field of side 72 m, 120m,96m.sides are divided in the ratio 5 : 3,

plant saplings of tomato in the bigger reason and that of mango in other reason

To Find :  Area of the complete field

Area of tomato sapling

Area of Mango sapling

Solution:

right angled triangular field of side 72 m, 120m,96m.sides

Area of triangle = (1/2)72*96

= 3456 sq m

Area of complete field = 3456 m²

sides are divided in the ratio 5 : 3,

=> AD  = (5/(5 + 3))   72  =  45

  AE =(5/(5 + 3))96  = 60

Area of ΔADE = (1/2) * 45 * 60  =  1350  m²

Area of  BCED = 3456 - 1350  = 2106 m²

Area of tomato = 2106 m²

Area of Mango =  1350  m²

Largest side in which mango is there = √45² + 60²   = 75 m

perimeter ADE = 45 + 60 + 75 = 180

perimeter ABC  = 72 + 96 + 120 = 288

180 : 288

= 5 : 8
