1.180\3=60 , 60*8=480.There are 480 sheeps. 2.Total no.of sheeps are 180+480=660.Ratio =480:660=8:11. 3.660:180=11:3

Answer:

We are given that Ratio of the sheep and cows the farmer has 8:3

i) how many sheep has the farmer if he has 180 cows ?

Number of cows=180

Let the no. of sheeps be x

So, 8:3=x:180

\frac{8}{3}=\frac{x}{180}

\frac{8}{3} \times 180 =x

480=x

So, the no. of sheep farmer has is 480

ii)find the ratio of the total number of animals with the farmer to the number of cows with him ?

Total no. of animals = Total no. of sheep +total no. of cows

Total no. of animals = 480+180 = 660

Ratio of the total no.of animals with the farmer to the no.of cows with him=660:180=11:3

So, the ratio of the total number of animals with the farmer to the number of cows with him  is 11:3
