A farmer has sown seeds in the soil . but even after a week , the saplings did not emerge.what do you think could be reason for this

the farmer did not sow the seed in the correct dept. Maybe he sow it too high near the surface, birds will eat them and even rodents. Also if they are sow too deep they won't get enough sunlight and air. seed should be sown at equal distance to avoid congestion. If they are too close, they will not get enough nutrients for growth
