Answer:

For convenience let us multiply the ratios by 9 so that the proportion gets modified as 3:1.5:1.

Let the third gets ‘x’ coins

Then, by the proportions the coins for the thre turn out to be 3x, 1.5x & x, respectively.

Sum of these coins = 44, I.e.,

3x+1.5x+x = 44

5.5x=44

x=44/5.5 = 8

1.5 x = 1.5x 8= 12

3x = 3x8 = 24

So, answer is 24, 12, 8

Which is in the ratio 1/3:1/6:1/9
