The answer is 66.

Here, we don't need to multiply 23 by 3.

Because, the first plant doesn't count.

So, 22*3= 66 (ans)

( the first plant doesn't count because the distance betweem the first and the last plant is = the distance between 1st and 2nd plant + 2nd and 3rd plant + 4th and 5th plant......and so on. This gives us 22 different distances between the consecutive plants. The distance between two plants are given as 3, so the answer is - no. of distances * 3 = 22*3 = 66

Hope it helps! : )
