A farmer is planting flowers-lavender, marigold and sunflower in his

square plot. The length of the square plot in which marigold are planted is

10 metres greater than the length of the square plot in which sunflower are

planted whereas the length of the square plot in which lavender are planted

is 20 metres greater than the length of the square plot in which sunflower

are planted.

a) Write an algebraic expression for the area of the plot in which sunflower

are planted.
