Hi there,

_______________

Displacement : the length of the join b/w the final and initial positions of a   body post motion.

distance: path length traversed by a body.

=> distance≠displacement....

to the question...

_____________________________

radius = 28m

time taken to move through the circumference = 50s  => displacement=0

(i.e; for 50s)

but displacement for 3m 20s will be different...

3m 20s = 180s + 20s =200s... can be split up as (4 x 50s)

so we can say the farmer moves four times in a full circle around the circular field.... and comes back to the starting point ...

"displacement will be zero...."

but distance will be 4 times the circumference....
